Second Nature is an animated new sculpture series curated by FireWorks Gallery Brisbane

Second Nature at Merricks assembles a selection of 3D and 2D works by (indigenous and non indigenous contemporary artists based in Queensland and Northern Territory), re-configuring individual designs, totems and spirit figures in new media including cast bronze, stainless steel, polyurethane, and other fabrications revealed in both intimate and large scale formats.

Artists include: Ian Waldron, Serena Bonson, Owen Yalandja, Michael Nelson Jagamara, Phil Gordon, Alick Sweet and Michael Eather. PLUS a selection of paintings and prints by Far North Queensland artists Paul Bong, Ian Waldron, Rosella Namok and Fiona Omeenyo looking at the distinctive landscape and stories of the tropical north.
