Trofeo Estate is situated on the iconic Harrisons Road precinct of Dromana – in the 1930’s it was a passionfruit plantation – it is one of the Peninsula’s oldest vineyards but newest wineries. From the moment you enter the property, with it’s oak lined driveway, you’re surrounded by vines & beautiful rural views. Its peaceful location is a world away from the hustle & bustle of Dromana’s main strip.
Trofeo Estate encompasses a vineyard, cellar door, winery, & the thriving Whispering Vines Restaurant. Their wines are aged in hand made Terracotta Amphora, imported from Tuscany. With 96 amphora on site, this makes them the biggest producers of Terracotta wine in the Southern Hemisphere. At the core of the estate is a philosophy that embraces the practice of biodynamics, sustainability & old world winemaking techniques & this is expressed through fresh, seasonal home grown produce from the kitchen and restaurant, and stunning array of wines from the cellar door. What is notable about this wonderful establishment is the genuine warmth, lighthearted laughter & the sense you belonged to something very special on departure – even if it was for a few lazy hours.
Every Friday night at Trofeo, you can be treated to four fabulous courses for only $55 per person (add an extra $40 for matched Estate wines). The dishes are created from the restaurant’s garden grown and locally sourced produce, providing true Peninsula flavours.
