On Sunday 9 October we are hosting on our first Awakening festival. We have put together a unique Montalto-style event to appeal to all generations.
9 October 2016, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Expect a jam-packed day of inspirational speakers, quirky cooking demonstrations, garden know how and a fantastic line up of musicians throughout the afternoon.
On the main stage
Michael Williams, host of Radio National’s program Blueprint for Living and Director of Melbourne’s esteemed literary and publishing hub The Wheeler Centre, will discuss what awakening means right now.
Horticulturalist and permaculture expert John Forest from Edible Forest Gardens who will share his passion for interesting and uncommon edible plants and organic gardening fundamentals.
Throughout the day will be an awesome line up of local and Melbourne music:
The Voice alumni, pop singer and songwriter, Madox (Maddison Wilson)
Soul artist Francesa Gonzales
Exciting dub soul performer Eric Parker
Much loved bluesman and folk balladeer Matt Katsis
Education
Our chefs’ will show you how to produce great dishes straight out of the garden and the garden team will give you tips on how to grow it. Wine aficionados will have the chance to join our winemaker for tastings in the new private wine room.
Food
Seasonal food from the Piazza Cafe kitchen will be available for purchase all day, for a grazing lunch on the lawn and in the Piazza.
Or upgrade to a shared table lunch in the Montalto Restaurant with prime seating overlooking the main stage.
Tickets
General admission tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children, with kids five years old and under free. Includes a wine glass for adults and all of the entertainment.
Premium restaurant tickets are $120 per person including lunch and festival entry, however bookings are essential.
Awakening is an outdoor event, and will go ahead rain, hail or shine!
