FRIENDS OF MPRG EVENT

Barbara Kane will explore the pervasive presence of music, song and dance in the work of Rupert Bunny. She will lead us across the channel with him from London to Paris, that most exciting of cities at the fin de siècle, and reveal the stories of his work, both decadent and sacred, in this symbolist\ decade. We will slip into the relaxed charm of the images of the Edwardian idyll – or belle époque – during the early days of his marriage and decode the radical changes in his work as the world slid from the First World War into the frenetic new world of the 1920s.

Monday 21 September, 10.30am for morning tea, 11am-12 noon for talk

Members $7 Guests $10, no bookings necessary
