Yabby Lake Single Clone Pinot Noir Selection Tastings

When our vineyard was planted in 1998, a range of different clones of pinot noir and chardonnay were chosen for their suitability to individual parts of the site. This has resulted in a complex array of distinct parcels of fruit, each with individual personalities. For example, some clones are characterised by their delicate lifted perfume, and others for their intensity and concentration, or exceptional structure.

Rare Hare

There’s a buzz in the air on Mornington Peninsula, and it comes in the form of a contemporary cutting edge designer hotel, formal restaurant, smart bar, casual dining experience and cellar door. The name is Jackalope – and it’s the new home of Willow Creek Vineyard Wines. The vision of Louis Li's, a 29 year old Chinese national who has been living in Melbourne for ten years, Willow Creek Vineyard is now the site for the world’s first Jackalope Hotel.  Moving here as an 18 year old to study film making, Louis Li is well versed in luxury property development with his parents being involved in a number of luxury hotels and residential properties in Kunming in south western China.  So in a sense his first solo project is following in the tradition of his family business.   Being a film maker Lewis Lee is a great storyteller, and his first foray into hospitality shows his appetite for art and design and food culture, which shines through every element in this property.  His debut Jackalope Hotel in Merricks will be followed by a 40 room hotel in Flinders Lane which is scheduled to open in 2019.

Terracotta Wine at Trofeo Estate

Trofeo Estate is situated on the iconic Harrisons Road precinct of Dromana - in the 1930’s it was a passionfruit plantation - it is one of the Peninsula’s oldest vineyards but newest wineries. From the moment you enter the property, with it’s oak lined driveway, you’re surrounded by vines & beautiful rural views. Its peaceful location is a world away from the hustle & bustle of Dromana’s main strip.

Blue Range Estate Wines

“Wow!” The three letter word that Jo and Cosi Melone hear every time a guest steps out of their car and breathes in the view. It is indeed unexpected, a delightful surprise, and breathtaking. Set on a hidden hill that rises over the back of Rosebud and is sheltered by Waterfall Gully, the Blue Range Estate’s view is expansive. Stretching from Western Port Bay and Bass Strait across the Portsea Peninsula and into Port Phillip Bay, the view is unique, and extraordinary.

Paringa

“It’s Cate Blanchett in a bottle, all at once elegant and ephemeral, yet exuding dignity, strength and grace,” is how Bruce describes Paringa Estate Chardonnay. Whatever your wine preferences, or level of knowledge, the Paringa cellar door staff; Bruce, Lou, Eliza & Marie, will ensure your tasting experience at Paringa is both fun and educational.

Rare Hare Preview Dinners

The first of two preview dinners commences in collaboration with Mornington Peninsula Brewery and Commonfolk Coffee. Highlights include five rounds of brews and chews, with dishes like snapper crudo, wood roasted prawns, and lamb shoulder, all served with select MP hops.
