Award Winning Dairy

It’s summertime at Main Ridge Dairy, the season for their award winning hard cheeses - called Caprinella & Capony. This time of year the milk volume from the goats generally drops as feed hardens. Like all things from this award winning dairy, good planning and care prevails and due to the great cut of silage this year (harvested on the farm) the girls are well fed through summer which keeps them happy.

Little Rebel Roastery

For Little Rebel, it’s all about the coffee. A boutique coffee roaster, Little Rebel wholesales their lovingly hand roasted coffee beans to cafés around Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula who understand and care about the coffee they offer their customers. They offer a number of key blends that have been created with passion to offer flavour and elegance.

Georgie Bass

Welcome to Georgie Bass, the latest food experience in the heart of Flinders that combines a café & cookery. Inspiration for the name comes from George Bass, the legendary sailor who accompanied his good friend Matthew Flinders when they were charting Bass Strait to Tasmania.

Crittenden

The Cri de Coeur Pinot Noir represents the pinnacle of Crittenden Estate’s winemaking and something the family is very proud of. The story behind Cri de Coeur says a lot about the formidable force the two generations of Crittendens represent in Australian wine. Two years ago the opening of the Crittenden Wine Centre also broke new ground by seating visitors at tables and serving wines in themed “flights” to illustrate common stylistic, varietal and geographic threads. It is here – at the Wine Centre - you can learn more about the Cri de Coeur but more importantly go on a journey through the entire Crittenden Estate wine range.

Classic Hinterland

What can we tell you about the Cellar and Pantry? Well for starters this is a place people come from near and afar to enjoy. You can eat in, take out or take home a delectable array of local fresh produce, local and imported deli or cellar items home. Either way it is worthy of your time. On the busiest of days you’ll order coffee and something scrumptious to eat at the window, you’ll go inside to forage for pantry items to take home until your name is called out whereby you’ll stop everything to find a seat on the iconic deck to enjoy the moment. If there aren’t any?

Treasures to discover

Upon stepping through the doors of Antipodes Bookshop & Gallery you will feel the cosy calm wash over you. A sanctuary for book lovers, Antipodes’ purpose is to find and champion stories – those that enrich our lives, those that surprise and those that delight. There are other treasures to discover at Antipodes, too: beautiful Australian craft, art and jewellery and carefully curated exhibitions. We love Antipodes because of its serendipitous nature; it’s a place to experience wonderful encounters and a refuge from the outside world. As Picasso once said ‘some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun’ - it doesn’t matter which one you are, you’ll find the right spot at Antipodes.

Yabby Lake Lunch

There’s nothing we love more than getting off the beaten track. Abby Lake is one of these destinations - frequented by many, yet tucked away and hidden from some, as they approach the Balnarring exit (off the Peninsula Link). These days, running a restaurant let alone winery on the Pen is highly competitive, with so many wonderful options on offer. It’s no longer just about offering great food and wine but rather the stories and experience behind the vineyard, and Yabby Lake has this in abundance. Is it exceptional hand crafted wines passed from winemaker to cellar door you are looking for?
