Nestled in the heart of nature, Livona Farm offers a unique blend of personal development and well-being support surrounded by the gentle presence of animals. Their mission is to provide small group or 1:1 sessions that focus on emotional support, personal growth, and skill development in a safe and nurturing outdoor environment.

Livona Farm is home to a variety of friendly animals, including miniature donkeys, chickens, miniature pigs, and goats. These animals, known for their docile and affectionate nature, provide comfort and companionship, especially beneficial for children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities.

In addition to their outdoor activities, they offer an indoor space dedicated to crafting and art, allowing for creative expression and relaxation.

The facilities are fully accessible to people with disabilities and cater to the elderly community, ensuring an inclusive environment for all.

With a decade of experience as a nurse and a background in education support, Leigh Vanderhorst, the founder of Livonia brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to the farm.

Currently studying Animal Assisted Learning and holding a Graduate Certificate in Disability and Inclusion, she is committed to fostering a space of healing and empowerment.

Miniature donkeys are central to Livona’s Farm’s charm. Known for their laid-back personalities, they form close bonds with humans and other donkeys, making them ideal companions. Despite their reputation for being stubborn, donkeys are observant and cautious, offering a unique blend of companionship and security.

From 2025 onwards Livona Farm will welcome the community. From now until then the Join us for a journey of growth, learning, and joy in the company of their beloved animals. For now, visits are strictly restricted and can be arranged directly with Leigh on the details below.
